CeBIT Sydney 2019

It’s the time of year when thoughts turn to shorter days and colder nights. But for those heading to Sydney at the end of the October, the main preoccupation will be the 2019 CeBIT conference

As usual the conference aims to bring together some of the world’s leading tech companies to talk about the latest ideas that are powering innovation across a whole range of sectors. And it’s fair to say the agenda highlights some key themes: the importance of data privacy and trust in a disrupted age, the changing nature of how and why we work; and of course the impact of technology on businesses and consumers.

From the frontiers of Artificial Intelligence and the 4th Industrial Revolution, through blockchain and Big Data to the changing consumer landscape in financial services, CeBIT aims to cover as many bases as possible. The three-day conference will also host a number of eminent keynote speakers, as well as interactive ‘Braindate’ sessions and interactive workshops

The UK Department of International Trade (DIT) is once again taking an active role at CeBIT. Ten innovative UK companies will be attending as part of the DIT mission to the event, which is designed to not only give UK companies exposure to Australian consumers, partners and investors, but also to encourage Australian tech firms to consider setting up in the UK.

Continuing a tradition, Paul Beare will be present at this year’s event. Paul knows only too well that the next generation of tech pioneers can often be found walking the halls and presenting their ideas.

“There are some really exciting companies at this years’ show, and there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing the usual interesting mix of entrepreneurs and visionaries in Sydney. And of course it’s true that of lot of these companies are in the growth phase and are pondering their next move into new markets.

Given the UK’s global position as a tech hub, it’s not surprising that many of them will be thinking about taking advantage of the strengthened UK-Australia business bridge and exploring a UK presence. And that’s where Paul Beare Ltd can help.

“We’ve worked with a great number of interesting companies that are keen to ‘land and expand’ in the UK,” says Paul. “And it’s fair to say that a lot of them are surprised by the amount of work involved in setting up operations in the UK. As well registering the company, setting up bank accounts and putting in place the right accountingtax and HR functions, they also need to know how business in the UK works.”

We’ve developed our experience over years working with growing companies entering the UK, so we know where the most common bumps can appear in the road. Whether it’s deciding on the best company structure to adopt, bringing staff on board or simply finding an office, we’ve encountered most challenges and we’re ready to help.”
